The Whatcom Business Alliance and the Hecht Group are hosting a presentation focusing on approaches to minimize the negative impact of the Affordable Care Act on local businesses. As premium notices begin to arrive and employer mandates loom around the corner, the presentation will address solutions for business owners to help them transition into life under the new healthcare law.

The options plan put together by the WBA was developed over several months through cooperation with over 20 companies, each of which promised to enroll at least 35 employees in the plan. According to the WBA, the options qualify %100 under the guidelines of the Affordable Care Act, and will not raise companies’ premiums above their current costs. In some cases the options even saved companies money. This is a must-attend event for any Bellingham business owner concerned about meeting the ACA guidelines.
