WWU Community Career and Internship Fair

Are you looking for bright and highly motivated young minds to assist your business while learning about your work? Western Washington University is hosting its annual Community Career and Internship Fair Thursday October 23rd. Approximately 500 students from a wide variety of majors attend the fair each year, looking for internships to prepare them for life after graduation.

If your local small business needs a little extra manpower, but you don’t have the resources to hire a new employee, student interns can be great asset. Internships can also carry over into part- or full-time employment when the student graduates, so you may find yourself training a valuable future employee.

Exhibitors at the event will receive a 3’ x 6’ table, signage, and a hospitality room provided by the University. The event organizers request that organizations only use tabletop displays, not large backdrops.

The Career Services center states that, as an exhibitor, you will:

• Meet hundreds of motivated candidates for your internship & volunteer positions.
• Benefit from event publicity and promotions.
• Expand your network by meeting students, connecting with faculty and communicating with representatives from other organizations.

The event will take place on campus in the Viking Union Multipurpose room from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. Priority is given to nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Registration requires exhibitors to sign up with Viking CareerLink, which is also a great resource to find college-educated employees.
