Uber is taking the private transportation industry by storm. In the five years since the company launched its app, Uber has spread to every inhabited continent, and operates in hundreds of cities across the globe. Now its Bellingham’s turn to get in on the action. Uber is planning on starting local operations this month, and is providing Onboarding sessions to answer questions, upload driver documents, hand out company smartphones, and get Uber drivers activated.

The Onboarding sessions are an opportunity for prospective drivers to get hands-on guidance through all the steps necessary to become an Uber driver. Applicants are required to bring the following documents:

• Driver’s License
• Vehicle Registration
• Vehicle Insurance
• Completed Vehicle Inspection Form (Filled out by Midas or Firestone)
• Vehicle Inspection Receipt

Well prepared applicants will be given their Uber smartphones and activated on site, allowing you to get out on the streets and start driving immediately.
