The benefits of hiring a college graduate for your business should be a no-brainer for most business owners. The WWU Career Services Center is hosting the annual WWU Winter Career Fair on February 12th, to help businesses and students connect and forge relationships.

The level of training and communication skills that graduates bring to the table make them valuable employees, and they often have enthusiastic attitudes and open minds. At the Career Fair businesses have the opportunity to meet hundreds of highly motivated students looking for careers and internships. Hiring businesses can collect resumes from qualified soon-to-be graduates. The fair also offers a great opportunity to spread awareness about your business and network with other companies, faculty, staff, and students.

The Career Services Center will be featuring an Engineering Section at this year’s Winter Career Fair. With the launch of the new College of Science & Engineering and full engineering programs at WWU, this special section is geared towards employers in the engineering field or those with opportunities in engineering to be able to connect with students headed to these programs. This is a great way to connect with students studying engineering and build relationships with our engineering student clubs.

The event will take place in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room on campus from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Pre-registration and a $325 fee is required through Viking CareerLink. The fee includes:

• A 3’ x 6’ table at the event
• Wi-fi
• Access to power outlets upon request*
• 1 vehicle parking permit
• Free coffee, tea, and water
• 2 lunches
• Promotional services prior to the event
• Interview rooms following the event if needed*
