Did you know 5% of gross revenues are lost to fraud each year? Have you considered whether or not your business is at risk from fraud? VSH and People’s Bank will help answer any questions you have about fraud in your business with a presentation entitled “Is Your Business Fraud-Proof?” The presentation will include:

• Tristan Hurlbert, a forensic accountant from VSH, teaching local business owners create an environment in their company that mitigates fraud.
• People’s Bank discussing the tools banks have to help detect fraud in your business
• A talk from a local employee who has encountered fraud in the workplace
• A lecture from a local law enforcement officer on how fraud is found and prosecuted

The event will take place on October 14th at Hampton Inn’s Fox Hall. A buffet breakfast will be served at 7:00am, followed by the presentation at 7:30. The event is free for all to attend. Register on the event page.
