WWIB Names 32nd Annual Professional Woman Of The Year

The Whatcom Women in Business (WWIB) has selected an annual Professional Woman of the Year for the last 32 years, to highlight outstanding women in local business. The winner for 2014 was recently announced as Carolyn Saletto.

Saletto has a history of providing fun opportunities for children in Whatcom County. She started the local Gym Bus, a mobile gymnastics center that travels to preschools and daycare centers. Recently, she also opened a 10,000 sq ft. fixed gymnastics location. Saletto also founded Shooting Stars preschool, which offers scholarships to deserving families.

Saletto employs several college students at her locations, and strives to act as a mentor to guide them towards future success. She was a top gymnast at Sehome High School in her youth, and a former Miss Whatcom County, and is still able to perform backflips for her students.
